Another busy week carrying out aerial thermography across the UK and another suspected case of PID. What’s interesting about this example is that the heating pattern was occurring across every string end. This is why the heating pattern was not being detected by the string monitoring. To compound the problem, the site had incurred regular inverter issues over the past year, hence why the PR values were not trusted (another measure that might flag PID).
