A recent solar plant inspection revealed 2.4% of ALL the modules had over-heated junction boxes. Right now, this doesn’t manifest in string monitoring as the power loss is too small. As we’ve shown in the past, this may develop into a more serious issue.
Above’s technology is sensitive enough to pick up the earliest signs of module power loss. Proactive inspections combined with onsite maintenance means anomalies are either fixed before they develop or monitored closely over time to see if a systemic defect warranty claim is required.
