Above Strengthens Leadership with Appointment of SkySpecs Founder Danny Ellis as Chairman

Appointment strengthens leadership team as Above accelerates growth in digital asset intelligence for utility-scale solar.

Above, the specialist market leading provider of drone-enabled inspection, digital construction monitoring and lifecycle asset intelligence solutions for the utility-scale solar industry, has appointed renewable energy technology entrepreneur Danny Ellis as Chairman.

Ellis is the founder and former CEO of SkySpecs, the global leader in wind turbine inspection and asset management software. Under his leadership, SkySpecs became one of the renewable energy sector's most recognised technology companies, helping asset owners improve the performance and reliability of wind portfolios through advanced drone inspection and data analytics.

The appointment follows a long-standing relationship between Ellis and Above. Having supported the business informally for more than six years, Ellis has worked alongside the leadership team over the past year in a strategic advisory capacity, helping shape the company's commercial direction and long-term growth strategy.

As Chairman, he will work closely with CEO Will Hitchcock and the Board to support Above's continued expansion as the solar industry increasingly adopts digital technologies to improve construction quality, operational performance and long-term asset management.
